Inside the February Box

Hi GeenieBox Sisters -

My life's work is advancing women and girls. It's pretty much why I'm on the planet. So words can't describe how thrilled I am to share with YOU some tools and tips that hopefully will help you flourish at work and in life.

I'm currently Chief Leadership Officer at Levo, the fastest growing network for millennial professionals. I'm also a public speaker and consultant to Fortune 500 companies. I serve on nonprofit boards like Girls Who Code and Harlem4Kids. This year my husband and I will celebrate our 20 year anniversary (yes, I got married when I was 3) and I'm the mother of two school age kids. On top of all of this I'm well rested, fit and generally happy. BUT it wasn't always this way. In my new book, Drop the Ball: Achieving More by Doing Less, I tell the funny but painful journey of how I used to be a hot mess before I figured out what mattered most to me and how to meaningfully engage others in my success. In her foreword, Gloria Steinem writes that "Drop the Ball is important, path-breaking, intimate, and brave." I hope that my story helps to make your path easier.

In addition to my book, I included are a few of my other #droptheball must haves in my GeenieBox:

  • a LUSH Bath Bomb that you can drop in the tub to escape the swirl of life
  • a Luna Bar that I encourage you to always have in the bottom of your bag to nourish yourself on the go
  • TaskRabbit discount code so that you can delegate with joy something you've nixed from your to do list
  • and L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream for the moments when someone steals your cab or you find out your co-worker undermined you: just apply, inhale deeply, and tell yourself "I'm smart. I'm beautiful. I'm loved."

I look forward to changing the world with you.
